Meet Kass
Kass grew up having a love for animals. She has worked with them in many different settings from being a zookeeper, vet assistant, and working at boarding facilities. In 2017 she was working at a veterinary office and boarding dogs out of her home when she discovered her passion for caring for other families dogs while they are away. In 2018 she officially launched her business and dove into it full time. In 2021 she had the opportunity to move her business from her home into her current facility that is Kass’s Kennel! She couldn’t do what she does without the support from her husband, Jake, and son, Oliver. Their pack includes Vader (Frenchie mix), Peaches (Beagle mix), Demi (Rottweiler), Thor (Border Collie), and Dealer (Whippet). In any free time she has she can be found competing in a variety of dog sports including agility, barn hunt, dock diving, and fastCAT.
Meet Piper
Piper has always had a passion for animals, growing up she always wanted to be a vet. During high school she was in the health science academy and switched to the animal science path as soon as it was added. Piper did an internship at a vet during her senior year and started working as a kennel attendant as soon as she was able. She knew immediately she was meant to be in the dog boarding world. Piper has 3 fur babies of her own, Alan (Lab), Cheyanne (Leonberger), and Cherry (Vizsla). Cherry is her first show dog and they also hope to dip their toes into some other dog sports. Piper is also having her first 2 legged baby this year!
Meet Alyssa
Alyssa is a kennel attendant at Kass’s Kennel with 3 years of professional experience working with dogs. She’s always had a love for dogs growing up and always saw her future working with dogs as a dream career. She evolved her passion up to working with them on the daily at the kennel while attending cosmetology school in Grand Rapids part time. She currently has two golden retrievers of her own. (Bailey and Oakley). In her free time Alyssa enjoys dog sports/training with Oakley, relaxing with Bailey, and traveling.
